Fasuba Beaten at Olympic Trials |

African 100m champion and world 60m champion Olusoji Fasuba was yesterday beaten to second place by Obinna Metu in the 100m final at the NNPC/Mobil Championship in Abuja.
Fasuba, who was also beaten a week ago at a Grand Prix meet by Adetoyi Durotoye, finished behind Metu in a time of 10.18 seconds, the latter winning in a time of 10.17 seconds.
Fasuba's conqueror last week Durotoye finished third in the race in a time of 10.26 seconds. All three have now qulified to compete for Nigeria at the Olympics in August.
In the female 100m final, Damola Osayemi confirmed her status as Nigeria's Queen of the tracks by winning in a time of 11.08 seconds ahead of Frances Idoko who placed second in a time of 11.25 seconds. Quote this article on your site | Views: 354 | Print | E-mail
