Blessing Bassey: last NMA winner

Here’ s a chance for aspiring models to achieve that life long dream, as the search for Nigeria’s best model 2008\2009 has began with the first lap of screening of the Nigeria Model Awards 2008 coming up in Benin & Abuja on Thursday 26th & Saturday 28th of June. The next screening after Benin & Abuja will be Lagos which is scheduled for the 5th of July.

The Nigeria Model Awards 2008 comes up on the 26th of July at the Muson Center. It’s organized by Legendary gold Limited in collaboration with Ford Models New York. The winner of the NMA will be picked by Robert Knapp, Chief Scout of Ford Models who flies to Lagos from his New York base.

The winner of NMA joins 53 other girls from 53 countries to compete for the Ford Super Model of the world contest in New York City. Prizes ranges from $250,000, $150, 000, & $100,000 worth of modeling contract for the top 3 winners .There is also $50,000 contract for 5 other girls, Also Maybelline New York gives additional girls exclusive global contracts worth $100,000 each.

The Ford Supermodel of the World Contest is the biggest and most reputable models contest in the World.

Ford Models was ahead of its time when it launched an International Model search in 1980. In the last 28 years, there have been many attempts to replicate Ford’s innovative and successful global search but none matches the size, quality and prestige of the Ford Supermodel of the World contest whose money guaranteed contact is about a million dollars annually.

The partnership between Legendary Gold limited & Ford Models is a perfect match. Through the Nigeria Model Awards, Legendary Gold Limited tends to create opportunities for young Nigerian girls who wish to build career in the international modeling industry.

The first edition of the NMA was staged in 2004 with the Paris based global Fashion TV winner of the NMA since 2004 are Bisi Sowemimo, Hilda Nevoh,Ifeoma Yolanda Jones, and Blessing Bassey.

	? No one else but Blessing deserved it. She's a head turner and a neck breaker any day. Just hope she's not a heart-breaker. I think she deserves three straight uninterupted tenures for her breath-taking beauty. Think about it Mojo'.
