The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in Ebonyi State has disowned some of its members who recently defected en-mass to rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) adding that those who defected were never a true members of the party.
According to the party, most of the purported decampees to the PDP had long been expelled from the ANPP in the State adding that majority of those who orchestrated the action had for a long time now secretly subscribed to the vain illusions of the party they claimed to have decamped to.
Speaking on behalf of the party, State Chairman Livinus Nwambe insisted that those who were supposedly decamped to the PDP were the main transducers of the opposition party in the State.
He added that it soon will be obvious to all that that the ANPP is on the verge of taking over governance in the State from the PDP and those he described as "co-travelers".
According to Nwambe, the ANPP is not worried about the so called defection stressing that the leadership and membership of the party in the State are not only intact but also cohesive and more united. Quote this article on your site | Views: 174 | Print | E-mail
