The Super Eagles of Nigeria will later today at the Abuja National Stadium host Equatorial Guinea in the ongoing qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup and Nations Cup holding in South Africa and Angola respectively.

Nigeria currently top Group Four with nine maximum points from three games and a win against the Guineans would all but send Nigeria into the next round of qualifiers; should the other Group Four match between South Africa and Sierra Leone end in a draw.

Nigerians however have criticised the Shuaibu Amodu led Eagles for not being as prolific as expected in front of goal with Joseph Yobo, a defender, currently the team's top scorer with two goals.

However, members of the coaching crew have debunked the criticism saying the more important goal is to win matches and ultimately qualify for the 2010 World Cup and Nations Cup.

In other matches across Africa, Rwanda, who is one of three countries left with a perfect record in the qualifiers, travel up north to play Group Eight favourites Morocco whom they shocked 3-1 last weekend.

In Group Nine, the third country with a perfect record, Burkina Faso, will host Seychelles in Ouagadougou where a win would see them take one step closer to the next stage of the qualifiers ahead of Tunisia who host Burundi in Tunis needing a win to stay in the hunt for the automatic qualifying spot.
