I bet that the three wannabes that contested in last night’s episode of The Apprentice Africa would appreciate, more than ever before, Faze’s ‘Faze Alone’ as they, for the first time, contested as individuals.

Much away from the usual pattern of the show, the three remaining contestants were each made to undergo interview sessions with three different persons; Ade and Benedict of BankPHB and Jimi Awosika of Insight Communications.

It was really ‘Faze Alone’ for the contestants as they each went in for their sessions with the interviewers.

Each contestant had their own anxious moments during the interviews. Blessing could recite neither BankPHB’s Vision Statement nor its Mission Statement. Eunice seems not to remember the meanings of some of the economic terms she learnt in school like ‘Stagflation’ and ‘Lorenzo Curve’…Economists please help. Time seemed not to be enough for Isaac to answer the questions posted him.

Like never before, the house was very tense as each contestant carried on with his/her business as if the others did not exist.

To the boardroom, the CEO first had a discussion with the three interviewers to get their findings concerning the interviewees {contestants}.

It was agreed, as a matter of consensus, that all three contestants did well.

Individually, Isaac was seen as self-assured, composed, creative, a leader, laid-back and a survivor who can think under pressure. Blessing was seen as persuasive, intelligent, eager, confident, likeable and seeing things through while Eunice was seen to be calm, confident, clear-focused, pro-active, articulate and self assured.

After summarizing the comments, Blessing was FIRED!!! Why Blessing? ...well, her case could be said to be that of shooting oneself in the legs. She, in the course of the interview referred to herself as manipulative… whoever told her that was positive. She however made some weak attempts to defend the statement….I guess it wasn’t enough.

Her eviction sets the stage for a final face-off between Isaac and Eunice in a winner takes all contest. Who do you think will win?
