San Siro giants AC Milan have confirmed that talks to bring Didier Drogba to the club have begun days after been linked with Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Drogba also had been linked with a move to the Rossoneri and this time, Chelsea have given the condition of Milan not going after Barcelona's Samuel Eto’o for the Drogba deal to go through. That means Chelsea would be making a bid for the Camerounian striker who previously was linked to Tottenham Hotspur after an audacious £50m bid for Liverpool striker Fernando Torres did not get a second look from the Anfield chiefs. Milan’s city rivals Internazionale have also been linked to Eto’o’s Barcelona team-mate Deco, who has been told by the Catalans he can leave the club. Deco and new Inter coach Jose Mourinho were together at Porto. Over in England meanwhile, Ronaldinho is said to be strongly considering a move to Manchester City who reportedly have offered the Brazilian player £200,000 a week. Just as players are seemingly set to troop out of the Nou Camp, Barcelona have reinforced the team with the acquisition of long time Chelsea target Daniel Alves and Sevilla team-mate Seydou Keita. Alves comes in to replace Gianluca Zambrotta who completed his move to AC Milan last week in a deal worth around £4m a year. Barcelona has also now been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo in a bid to thwart their archrivals’ Real Madrid's move for the Portuguese star.
