“Who is who” of Nollywood actors have signed up to be part of Nigeria’s first ever Nollywood celebrity reality television show_ The Real Me Show. Though the show organizers declined to give information on the details of the artistes who have signed up, they confirmed that the list which includes essentially A-list actors and the celebrity artistes will be presented to the public at the appropriate time.
Investigations however show that Monalisa Chinda, Ayo Adesanya_Hassan, Uche Jumbo, Nonso Diobu, John Okafor(Mr. Ibu), Mercy Johnson, Anita Hogan, Oby Edozieh, Ramsey Nouah, Eucharia Anunobi, Saidi Balogun, Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki and Paw_Paw) as well as Emeka Ike are among the teeming number of stars who will be presented to the public for nomination into the show. In a recent chat with Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor and Mr. Francis Onwochei Project Consultant and Project Manager respectively, it was revealed that consent forms had been received from many Nollywood stars and very shortly, the viewing public will be given the opportunity to make the ultimate decision of selecting 8 male and 8 female stars of their choice to enter the Celebrity Penthouse. At an earlier interactive session with a cross_section of the media and Nollywood stars aboard a luxury boat in the creeks of Lagos last December Chidi Nwokeabia, project initiator, had intimated the audience that the show will last for 21 days with phased evictions done entirely by the viewing public until a winner emerges. Mr. Nwokeabia had also noted that the show will enable the vast population of Nollywood fans to see their admired stars in their true elements. That is, how they play, react to true_life situations, execute every day tasks and probably how they fight and make peace. He however insisted that no unwholesome footage will be broadcast as everything will be done to celebrate and not denigrate our beloved stars. The viewing public will then vote in or vote out via text messages their desired or non desired celebrity housemate. Mr. Ken Nwabueze one_time Special Adviser on ICT to President George Bush of the United States of America and presently Managing Director of Gist Me Communications, the creators of the TV and Radio Show “You Think You Know Nigeria?” has guaranteed that Gist me will provide an impeccable, world_class web and SMS platform that will receive and manage viewers’ voting data as well as deliver results of solid and unquestionable integrity. Mr. Nnanke Harry Willie, CEO of HQSC, marketing consultants to the project disclosed that the show provides a platform for sponsors to reach a captive audience of about 100 million people across Africa. In a recent telephone chat he noted that the Real Me Show will be a show stopper that will make everyone, viewers, actors, sponsors and Nigeria ultimate winners. The Big question now is who will be in the house? Who will lose? Who will win? Only the viewers and time will tell The prizes for the show are equally pacesetting. That is, befitting of celebrity status on their own. Every celebrity housemate in the Real Me Show will leave with, at least, a N2million naira cheque which is the amount for the first set of evictees. Subsequent evictees will earn higher in graduated incremental levels while the grand prize is a brand new SUV plus N10million Naira.
