The usual glitz and glamour that has characterized the fameland, home of the starquest contestants, was, yesterday brought to a halt with the eviction of three of the six contesting bands.
This marks the end of an era in each of the contestants’ sojourn towards glory and fulfilment. The contestants, having known that the eviction was at hand, were not their usual cheerful self which left a hanging gloominess around the house since not one of them knew what their fate would be. The whole house was shocked when the band B-Sixz was first shown the door as they were all not expecting to see the band lose out so soon. The spectrum and Next bands’ case turned out to be that of a victim consoling a victim as they also fell under the hammer soon after they bade the B-Sixz goodbye. All three bands were ousted based on a cummulation of votes cast by viewers of the show through SMS. This leaves the Expozee, Da-Heritage and Diamonds bands to compete for the star prize. The eventual winner would be named in the grande finale of the show to be held on Saturday, May 10. To those who have lost out, Kenneth Copeland once said, “Nobody can make failure out of you but you”. Meaning their losing out of StarQuest shouldn’t be the end of the road for the musical ambitions. It’s good thing that they have all decided to stick together in the bands they have formed – that’s a step in the right direction. And to those who are still in, lots of luck. One more thing, They should not forget keep my share of their prize.
