Judging by the high number of hits directed to this website via web searches for Ankara (the Fabric, not the Country), one can deduce that the fabric is popular, globally. I remember a couple of years ago when members of the 'high society' will not be caught dead in Ankara. It was considered common fabric. You had to wear outrageously expensive lace to make a statement.

I recently stumbled on a facebook group based totally on Ankara. The group has a whooping 4,000+ members, mostly Nigerians of course, from all over the world. Between them, the group members have  posted over 400 pictures of Ankara styles.

According to an article previously published here, "The Ankara revolution is phenomenal. World over, the humble Ankara and Batik have become the new ‘little black dress’(LBD) that is an essential piece in every woman’s wardrobe. The Ankara which was once regarded as a fabric for the ‘locals’ and the old, has found its way up the fashion ladder and it’s sitting comfortably there".

Lots of pictures there.

looking good
looking good is a very good business.our parents of today are very happy with the new dress codes. Gone are thoses days where people wear exposive clothings.with the new trends of clothes that are covered and very sexy in its own way.one does not have to dress up looking like a slut to be sexy.even if one has to wear something short,be sure to compliement it with a covered top or dress. even the clothes of these days are designed in a very covered and sexy way.
