The search for Nigeria’s new Supermodel has started with the kick off of the Nigeria Model Awards 2008. Their will be zonal screening in Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Benin, Calabar and Lagos. In all, about 20 girls will be selected from all the zonal screening to compete for the Nigeria Model Awards 2008.

The head judge of NMA is the chief scout of Ford Models who flies into Lagos from his New York base few days before the final event.

The winner represents Nigeria at the Ford Supermodel Contest in New York where she stands the opportunity of winning money modeling contract worth $250,000,$150,000 or $100,000 which represents 1st,2ndm and 3rd prizes respectively. Other prospective models stands the chance of being signed up by Legendary Models for other local and international jobs.

Past winners of the NMA include Bisi Sowemimo in 2004, Hilda Nevoh in 2005, Ifeoma Yolanda Jones, 2006 and Blessing Bassey who just returned from New York where she participated at the Ford Supermodel Contest in January. She got sighted by scout and she hopes to return to New York for a modeling career soon.

The Nigeria Model Awards which aims at giving young Nigeria girls the opportunity of positively using their physical endowment to build a career in the international modeling industry, is organized by Legendary Gold Limited in collaboration with Ford Models, New York.

	I want to participate in this year"s Gu This year"s Gulder ultimate seach will be different,I foresee it.If I will be given the chance to participate,I will be the luckiest guy in the whole World. I enjoy the show and I must say that it is one of the best TV reality shows in Africa.I appreciate you guys effort in making the show one among the best.I amust not forget to say that Gulder is my brand.
