Nigeria Round Off Paralympics with Two More Medals Print E-mail

Nigeria earlier today added two more medals at the Paralympics Games in Beijing with Eucharia Iyiazi winning gold in the women's Discus Throw F57/58 with a throw of 35.21 meters. Iyaizi had earlier in the Games won gold in the women's Shot Put F57/58.

Enyimba of Aba on Monday went top of its CAF Champions League group after winning the rescheduled match against 10-man Al Hilal of Sudan 4-1 with top scorers Stephen Worgu, John Owoeri and Eze Otorogu among the scorers.

The 2008-09 Globacom Premier League began over the weekend with no away wins and an excellent result for newly promoted Kaduna United which defeated league defending champions Kano Pillars 2-1 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.

Enyimba's crunch CAF Champions League encounter against Al Hilal of Sudan at the Aba Township Stadium has been postponed to Monday September 15 following a heavy downpour that rendered the pitch at Aba unplayable.
