Quite recently, I stumbled upon a piece of article in one of nigeria’s dailies. The writer made a nice job of classifying Nigerian musicians into two groups; the entertainers and the music makers. According to the writer, Asa is one of the music makers.

Residents of the surulere metropolis of Lagos state would definitely have noticed an unusual flow of traffic this morning as the crème de la crème of Nollywood came around to commission the new secretariat of the Actors Guild of Nigeria {AGN}.

I must admit that the news of the death of Sunday Oliver Akanite a.k.a Oliver De Coque on the 21st of july came as a shock to me. I was wondering… why the shock? Since I was not used to being moved by people’s death. Then I remembered that it was barely a month since the death, in quick succession, of Sammy Needle, Sunny Okosuns and Steve Rhodes, in quick succession.

As it turns out, Isaac’s journey all the way from Ghana was not in vain. After a review of the eighteen weeks of hustling and bustling on the screens of Nigeria, Biodun Shobanjo, chairman of Insight Communications and the CEO of The Apprentice Africa decided that Isaac fits the status of his ideal apprentice much more than Eunice did.
