Ibori at 50, no celebrations....

Chief James Onanefe Ibori, the former Delta State Governor has chosen not to celebrate his 50th birthday. Quite a dissapointment that would be for the committe of friends, who have worked for weeks towards making the celebrations very grand.

Lagos government seeks N275 billion bond for infrastructure develepoment

The Lagos State Government is to raise a N275 billion bond from the Central Bank of Nigeria to enable it pursue its infrastructural development programme Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has said.

Babatunde Jose Laid to Rest

The doyen of Nigerian journalism, Alhaji Babatunde Ishmail Jose has been laid to rest at Atan Cemetary in Yaba, Lagos after he died aged 82 in the early hours of today in his Victoria Island home.

Harvard Alumnus Appointed Principal Secretary to President Yar’Adua.

Effective Thursday July 31, a top-flight Economist, Mr. David Edevbie, was appointed Principal Secretary to the President. He replaces Mr. Steve Orosanye, who held the position all through the former President Olusegun Obasanjo years. Mr. Edevbie received his appointment letter yesterday.

Yar'Adua Launches NAWOCA for South South
