Negris Holdings set to take over Nigerian newsprint company

The Nigerian Newsprint Manufacturing Company, Oku Iboku, will be handed over on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 to the core investor, Negris Holdings Limited by the Director General of BPE, Mrs. Irene Chigbue. Negris Holdings Limited which emerged the preferred bidder at the financial bid opening held in Abuja on July 1, 2008, has paid its winning bid price of $32.5 million.

EFCC: Modern ICT data centre for commissioning

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has announced the commissioning of a modern information and communication technology (ICT) data centre, which will take place at the (EFCC) Headquarters in Abuja on August 12, 2008. The infrastructure, the EFCC says, will boost administration and operations at the anti-graft agency.

Power: ‘19,000 Megawatts Realisable by 2011’
